An effluent treatment plant, also known as ETP plant, is a wastewater treatment process (WWTP) that is used to treat wastewater and comply with pollution board disposal standards and norms. Organic matter, inorganic matter, heavy metals, oil & grease, suspended particles, and other contaminants are treated in the wastewater treatment process of an ETP plant. A batch process or a continuous flow process can be used to treat the problem.
